Dua'a Ahad~Allegiance to Imam Mahdi~دعاء العهد~

Muslims are encouraged to pray for Imam al-Mahdi(AJ) during his absence (occultation). There are a number of supplications pleading to Allah to hasten the return and rise of Imam al-Mahdi(AJ). This plea is for an end to oppression, and for justice. But it is also a deep yearning to be in the company of our beloved Imam(AJ). And is ultimately an expression of profound love for Allah, for our Prophet(S) and for the Ahl ul-Bayt(A). Dua Ahad (Ahd / Ahd) is one of the more well known, and frequently recited supplications. According to hadith attributed to Imam Jafar as-Sadiq(A) it should be recited for forty days consecutively, and with Allahs grace one may be one of the helpers of the Twelfth Imam(AJ).
